After 9 years classical piano studies and youth choir activities in his home town Immanuel Witschi joins the Bernhard Spirig Big-Band playing concerts during 7 years in Switzerland and France.
Thereafter he plays in the Zurich University Big-Band and is continuously attending bebop workshops and private lessons with K.T.Geier, Stefan Stahel, Vince Benedetti and takes part in the Generations 2000 Masterclass in Frauenfeld (CH).
2004 he becomes resident pianist and technician at the Theatre Johana in Zurich and takes part in productions of the Salon Theatre Herzbaracke, as well as having gigs with his instant jazz combo in Memphis Bar in Zurich.
In 2009 Immanuel Witschi holds his first fully improvised solo concert and takes part in several projects for the Salon Theatre Herzbaracke and plays weekly in the Zurich L'heure bleue bar.
Since 2011 he gives solo concerts and performs with his own Jazz-Trio and -Quartet in the greater Zurich Area and produces his first Solo-CD 'First Light'.
